Collaboration with Hanato Atelier
Hanato Atelier welcomes artists and designers to share their practice within an intimate, carefully held environment.
Situated upstairs at Het Badhuis (Leidseplein 72, Haarlem), the atelier is a quiet studio of approximately 20m², ideal for small and attentive gatherings. For larger workshops, a 40m² space on the first floor — open and filled with natural light — can be reserved when needed.
At Hanato, we value depth over scale. Workshops center on handwork, material awareness, and a quiet dialogue between cultural heritage and contemporary perspectives. The community that gathers here is intentionally small and distinctive, both international and local, connected through a shared dedication to making.
Collaboration at Hanato is not simply the use of a space; it is an invitation into a thoughtful creative circle. Here, artists meet like-minded practitioners, exchange knowledge, and grow within a supportive environment. Encouraging one another through collaboration is one of the guiding intentions of the atelier.
Workshops are intentionally kept small to foster presence, concentration, and genuine connection. Within this atmosphere, learning unfolds naturally and conversations deepen.
Since2025, Hanato has hosted a range of intimate collaborations across disciplines — from traditional practices to contemporary interpretations of craft. If you wish to sense the atmosphere and rhythm of past gatherings, you are warmly invited to explore the Hanato Journal, where these moments are thoughtfully documented.
