Experimental Ink: The Final Session

Experimental Ink Session

We held the final session of our Experimental Ink Course. Over the course, every session had its own theme: how ink behaves when wet, composition, gesture and tools, layering, and the balance between flow and control. Each one was inspired by contemporary artists who were influenced by East Asian ink painting.

Through them, we saw how the tradition lives on in contemporary art, and we explored how far the medium can go ourselves: mixing ink with other materials, using found objects as brushes, crumpling paper for stone-like textures, and trying different papers and brushes.

It was a pleasure to witness such diverse experiments and unexpected processes. Seeing it all unfold was truly inspiring.
